What to expect when you book from Dawson.
Dawson City is roughly 533 km from our Whitehorse warehouse, about a six hour drive each way along the Klondike Highway. Here's how a Dawson City job actually runs:
- Phone consult. You call (867) 335-8226. We talk through the kitchen, ask for rough measurements and a few photos, and put a preliminary number on it.
- Slab and material conversation. If you can stop by the Whitehorse warehouse next time you're south, we'll walk you through the slab inventory in person. If not, we send curated samples up to Dawson.
- Trip up to template. Once cabinets are set, we drive up the Klondike with the highest-precision digital templating gear and capture every dimension on site.
- Fabrication in Whitehorse. The stone is cut, edged, polished, and prepped at our shop. This is also when we batch other Dawson jobs if we have them lined up.
- Trip up to install. The completed countertops drive up with us and go on your cabinets, typically in a single day.
On travel cost: we quote it up front, on paper, before you sign anything. Because Dawson City is a 12 hour round trip, there's a real travel component, but we batch installs whenever we can to share the cost across multiple jobs.
