The edge profile is one of the most under-discussed details in a countertop, and one of the most defining. Here are the profiles we cut most often.
Eased
A subtle rounding of the top edge. The most common, most timeless profile, and looks clean against any cabinet style.
Bevelled
A 45 degree chamfer cut into the top and bottom of the slab. Crisp, contemporary, and reads well in modern kitchens.
Bullnose
A full half-circle rounded edge. Soft to the touch, easy to clean, and a classic choice for traditional or family kitchens.
Half-bullnose
Also called demi-bullnose. The top is rounded while the bottom stays square, giving a softer face with a defined underline.
Ogee
A decorative S-shaped curve, concave above and convex below. Adds formal character, well suited to traditional cabinetry.
Mitred waterfall
The slab continues vertically at the island end, joined at the corner with a 45 degree mitre so the stone pattern wraps seamlessly.

How long does a countertop installation take?
From contract signing to install day is typically 2-3 weeks. The install itself is usually completed in a single day for a standard kitchen, though larger or multi-stone projects may run a second day.
Do you serve communities outside Whitehorse?
Yes. We regularly install in Dawson City, Watson Lake, Haines Junction, Carcross, and other Yukon communities. Travel costs are quoted up front and bundled into the project total.
Do I need to seal my granite countertop?
We seal every granite install before handover, no charge. Re-sealing is recommended every 1-3 years depending on use, and we'll show you the simple process. Quartz never requires sealing.
Can you remove and dispose of my old countertop?
Yes. Removal and haul-away is included in most installs. Plumbing disconnect and reconnect can be coordinated with our trade partners on the same day, so your kitchen is back online by evening.
Which quartz brand should I choose?
We carry Vicostone, Omnia, Haristones, Caesarstone, and Cosentino Silestone. Each line has its own colour palette, vein style, and price point.
