Haines Junction is a comfortable 90 minute run from our Whitehorse warehouse along the Alaska Highway. Close enough that we can often handle smaller kitchens day-of, far enough that the homes feel a world away. Quartz, granite, and natural stone, hand-templated and installed by the same Yukon team that owns the shop.
Haines Junction sits about 155 km west of Whitehorse along the Alaska Highway, roughly an hour and a half by truck in good weather. That's close enough that the trip doesn't dominate the project budget, and close enough that for smaller jobs we can sometimes template, fabricate, and install on a tight, day-of style turnaround. For larger kitchens, plan on the same two to three week window we run for any Yukon countertop install.
Haines Junction is the gateway to Kluane National Park and home to one of the most scenic visitor centres in the territory. The kitchens we work in here often share that mountain-influenced character: bright, clean lines, natural materials, and views that deserve a thoughtful countertop choice.

Haines Junction has a distinctive architectural character. The town's proximity to Kluane National Park, the visitor centre and Da Kų Cultural Centre, and the surrounding mountain landscape have shaped the kind of homes that get built here: thoughtful, often architect-touched, and built to frame the views. On travel cost: we quote it up front. Because Haines Junction is just 90 minutes away, the travel component is modest, particularly when we can pair templating and install around other Haines Junction work.
Timing: for smaller Haines Junction jobs, day-of work can sometimes fit. For full kitchens, plan on the standard two to three weeks from contract to install.
About 155 km, or roughly a 90 minute drive along the Alaska Highway. It's the closest of our regular out-of-Whitehorse service areas, which keeps both travel costs and turnaround tight.
Travel is itemized on every Haines Junction quote, and because we're only 90 minutes away, it's modest. If we can pair your job with another Haines Junction install, the cost can drop further.
For smaller Haines Junction jobs, sometimes yes. We can occasionally template, fabricate, and install within a tight window. For larger kitchens we run the standard two to three weeks, with templating and install as separate trips.
We strongly recommend it. Haines Junction is close enough that the drive is manageable, and seeing real granite slabs and quartz samples in person is the best way to choose. Bring a paint chip or a cabinet door, and we'll lay them out together at the warehouse.
Yes. Engineered quartz is non-porous and stable across temperature swings, which suits Haines Junction's mountain-influenced climate. Granite is dense, hard, and resealable, and works particularly well in cabin retreats that aren't always heated.
